A person retires when he ceases to work or when he is not capable of working i.e. when he gets injured or he is mentally unfit to do the job or when he is disabled by any disease. A person may retire on his own willingness. Normally on quitting an employment a person gets pension. Pension is the money a person gets as salary after retirement. After permanent termination of employment a person can enjoy his life as much as he can. Normally a person retires at old age. He can enjoy his old age. The retirement comes to an end if the person who has retired decides that he wants to work again. They take this decision due to many reasons, one of them being the financial one. After this, there are various retirement plans are available for retirees. When people are not working i.e. when they do not earn an income from their employment, at that time they get an arrangement for their income. This arrangement is called retirement plan. Retirement plans are generally set up by employers or insurance companies. But they can also be set up by trade unions or government organizations. After permanent termination of employment the workers support themselves through pension and savings. Pension is also the savings of fixed amount made by the employer from the employee's fixed salary for him during their working days. The employer then gives this money thus saved as pension. After retirement if he wants to earn more money, he can invest his saved money in stocks, mutual funds or any bank which gives a good rate of interest. Retired people get health problems due to their ageing. The cost of healthcare nowadays has increased. Hence these people get concessions from paying for medicines. Many a times all these become political issues. Life after this is yours fully. You can do whatever you want. One can move from his house to some peaceful place after he quit his employment permanently. During ones working days one might be so busy that he didn't get the time to do what he actually wanted to do, but after this he can pursue his hobby which he is longing for. Also you have time to explore the nature. While working one wouldn't have been in contact with his friends but after retirement one can catch up with his friends and have a good time with them reviving old memories. The skills and experience one gets during his working days can be utilized gratefully. A retiree can start teaching youngsters about his skills and experiences. By doing this he can also earn some money which will definitely help him in his life. Also after retirement one has a great deal of time to be with his grandchildren. He can help in bringing up his grandchildren. This will keep him busy and keep him going on with his family. The time during retirement is the time one should spend tension free. |
